Ingredients:
- 3-4 lbs Stew meat / Roast of your Choice
- 8 Potatoes
- 1lb bag baby Carrots
- 1 bag Frozen Chopped Onions and Peppers
- Worcestershire or Soy sauce
- Tomato Bouillon with Chicken Flavor (Caldo de Tomate Con Sabor de Pollo… Apparently I buy mine in the Mexican section)
- Chicken or Beef Broth (optional)
- ¼ Cup flour or corn starch if cooking stew
- Mishou Magic Seasoning
Directions:
- Coat the meat on all sides with Mishou Magic Seasoning.
- Brown the meat on a hot skillet (optional)
- Place the meat into the slow cooker.
- Cover the meat in the Tomato Bouillon and splash with your choice of fermented flavor.
- Add the potatoes, carrots, and chopped vegetables to the slow cooker
- Fill the cooker with broth or water to cover the meat and go half way up the potatoes.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 until the meat is falling apart and the vegetables are tender.
- If this is a stew pour off the liquid to a sauce pan, add the flour and cook until thickened into a gravy. Pour the gravy back over the meat and vegetables and serve.
Mishou Magic Tip:
- Golden, red, russet; Any potato is a good potato for this recipe. Peel it or don’t peel that’s your choice. Just don’t try and serve me this recipe with unpeeled russets.
- For this recipe I would 100% of the time go with Worcestershire sauce but 90% of the time I only have soy sauce. Fermented is fermented amirite?
